“I think everyone thinks he’s the best player to have played in the Premier League,” Carragher told Henry on Sky Sports. “I think most people look at your time… I’ve played against these players before and it’s mostly face-to-face.
“Thierry is the only one on this list that I feel completely inferior to and that I can’t handle. His pace, his strength, his skills, there’s no weakness or vulnerability in him that I think I can overcome.”
“He’s scored over 20 Premier League goals in a season and has made over 20 assists. He’s a complete player and I think with his all-round ability you’re number one.”
Meanwhile, Carragher spoke about Alan Shearer, the all-time Premier League top scorer, who surprisingly ranks him seventh, saying the problem is trophies.
