Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has hailed Amad Diallo’s performance against Manchester City, saying he reminded him of Wayne Rooney.

“There are two or three other good players. I think Maguire, Martinez and De Ligt are actually quite good in the back three. They are solid, but there is no one who stands out more than Amad Diallo. “
“He’s the only player who plays with freedom and energy, enthusiasm, passion and belief, showing what you would expect from a Premier League footballer playing for a club.”
